Imagine not being able to tie your shoes or to write a check legibly because tremors cause your hands to shake so badly you can’t control them. Or, how about not being able to get out of a chair because your body won’t move? If you can’t lift your foot, it won’t take you from one place to another. These are only a few of the symptoms that more than one million persons in the U.S. alone experience because they are afflicted with Parkinson’s disease. Worldwide, more than 11 million people share the disease, according to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
